My client is a large multinational organisation with almost 1000 people operating across NZ, Australia and USA. Part of a wider group of companies, but operating according to their own values and procedures, this organisation is at the forefront of their industry. They are research and development specialists to other businesses in the international markets.
Job tasks and responsibilities
This is a broad but exciting Assistant Accountant role responsible for NZ and Australian subsidiaries. Duties include:
- Managing the profit and loss, Capex, FA register
- GST, FBT, NRWT returns
- Month end and year end reporting journals and accruals
- Balance sheet reconciliations for Balance sheet accounts
- Assist in annual financial reporting and ensuring NZ IFRS compliance
ESSENTIAL skills and experience
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years financial accounting experience and have exposure to multiple tier 1 ERP systems (eg. SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards). You are not required to have a CA or CPA qualification for this role, however you must be a provisional member. You will have a strong attention to detail and be comfortable managing a varied role effectively and efficiently to meet tight corporate deadlines.
