About the business and the role

This worldwide vehicle leasing company based in Ellerslie is currently undergoing a rapid period of growth. A full-time opportunity for an individual with mechanical knowledge who is keen to get of the tools and back to a normal Monday-Friday working week.

 

Job tasks and responsibilities

This is a great role for a mechanic who is keen to put down the tools and get into a corporate environment, where you'll be able to continue your love of all things automotive without getting your hands dirty. If you are qualified petrol or diesel mechanic with some exposure to commercial vehicles repairs, that would be marvellous – but don't let that put you off applying.

What you'll really need to have is strong communication skills, confidence in your negotiation ability as well as being technically clever. In addition you'll have an intermediate level of computer skills and you'll know your way around excel and word — you don't have to be an expert though! 

 

 

Skills and experience

The role itself involves:

  • Administering supplier authorisation processes for all maintenance and repair costs
  • Ensuring all vehicles are appropriately maintained and repaired at best possible price
  • Ensuring all client vehicles comply with legal and safety requirements
  • Managing the supplier base to ensure best price for products and services

What you'll need to have to do this role

  • Ideally some experience working in or with vehicle parts/ vehicle servicing/ vehicle product knowledge

  • Administration ability, working with excel

  • Experience dealing with customers

  • Have a good telephone manner with and clear and confident communication skills
