Executive Assistant required for an immediate temp assignment for the next 3 – 6 months. The position works closely with EA’s for the other Deputy Secretaries who form their Executive Leadership team. It’s a fast paced and varied role so you’ll need to be resilient and be super savvy with a range systems and able to pick things up quickly.

 

What you will be doing

The main responsibilities and skill requirements for this position will include:

  • Pre-empt the leader's needs, exercise judgement based on those needs and co-ordinate information and resources for their commitments
  • Task-driven (complex diary and email management) but also play a key strategic support role
  • Screen, assess and manage requests of the leader's time
  • Co-ordinate, organise and execute requirements for meetings
  • Prepare and draft correspondence including emails, reports and documents

Who are we looking for?

  • An excellent communicator with highly developed written and oral communication skills
  • Highly effective planning and organisational skills in a complex work environment
  • An ability to execute with intuition, use great judgement and anticipate well
  • A real talent for building and maintaining excellent relationships both internally and externally
  • An ability to be innovative and creative in thinking through issues and problems
  • Excellent attention to detail with a flair for juggling different priorities
  • Agile and flexible who is unflappable under pressure
  • Can read and understand situations, negotiates well and influences naturally
  • A high level of integrity, professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Understanding of a government environment (desirable)
