This is your chance to work as a Portfolio Manager with one of New Zealand’s most reputable organisations. Located very close to the Wellington train station, you’re commute is easy. What you would be doing

As the Portfolio Manager, you’ll be ensuring that business processes are well supported and help to improve and develop new technology solutions. Located in the heart of the business, your core function is to provide ICT innovation. Some of your daily tasks could include:

  • Lead, manage, guide, coach a small team 
  • Support the programme team leader
  • Align the programme into a well organised, structured, prioritised portfolio of projects
  • Oversee the grow of the portfolio
  • Ensure that the companies standards and frameworks are adhered too
  • Development of robust budgets to provide accurate and timely reporting
  • Maintain and manage project finances
  • Plan, manage and monitor the project

 

Who are we looking for?

I’m interested in hearing from a dynamic Portfolio Manager with ten more years’ of proven ICT experience. You’ll also need to have:

  • Proven experience in strategic portolfio management
  • Proven track record in supporting project delivery in large multi-faceted and complex projects
  • Extensive knowledge and technical expertise in tracking, assurance and risk management on large scale programmes
  • Practical experience using project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2)
  • Have a growth and learning mentality
  • Be a coach/mentor of others
  • Ability to engage with business units, stakeholders
  • Highly developed skills to manage complex processes
  • The ability to multitask and to tight deadlines
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Strong methodical with sound technical aptitude
  • The ability to communicate effectively across the different business units (sometimes with technical and non-technical staff)
  • Proven experience in achieving results through team work
