Tell us a little about yourself

I am an Irish native who has always had a passion for travel. I moved to New Zealand in 2016 but prior to that I lived in the UK and America for a short stint. I love learning about new cultures and exploring new places.

I also enjoy camping, hiking, bush walks and days at the beach, so of course I fell in love with New Zealand and decided to call it home! Usually, on summer weekends, you’ll find me exploring this gorgeous country with my tent on hand.

On a week to week basis, I spend quite a bit of time in the gym, I also enjoy indoor rock climbing and hot yoga.

Tell us about what you have achieved in your personal and/or work-life:

I would class my move to New Zealand as one of my biggest achievements. I travelled to the other side of the world alone, with nothing but a backpack. I managed to secure a job here at Parker Bridge as a recruitment coordinator and now I have made my way up to Consultant.

Tell us about your career to date:

After receiving my Honours in Marketing, I relocated to the UK and began a career as an Accounts Assistant in the hospitality sector. I worked here for two years before moving home and into a Marketing role in a 4-star hotel in castle based on the West Coast of Ireland.

After a year I decided I wanted to travel more and moved to New Zealand, where I secured my role here at Parker Bridge. Although I had moved to the accounting side of the business, my interest in recruitment continued to grow and now I am a full-time Recruitment Consultant for the Business Support sector.

What drew you to recruitment?

Working in a recruitment business has shown how crucial the recruitment industry is to our society and I have learned the importance of helping the right person find the right job.

Why is recruitment important to you?

I look forward to helping people grow their abilities and careers. I have always enjoyed supporting people and recruitment gives me the opportunity to use my skills to help people achieve their professional goals. Alongside this, I look forward to assisting organisations grow their teams with the right professionals.
