Entry requirements

Our clients prefer Business Analysts with at least three years’ commercial experience in an analytical role. They also expect you to have well-developed systems, reporting, and SQL/Excel skills.

Our clients prefer Finance Analysts with at least two years’ experience in a financial analysis role. Employers may also expect you to have knowledge of financial modelling and business architecture, and a Chartered Accounting qualification.

What could you be doing?

The role of a Business Analyst is primarily to track and measure business performance and identify areas for improvement.

Typical day-to-day duties can include:

• Work with stakeholders to identify needs
• Work with and improve existing databases and systems to develop better reporting and KPIs
• Troubleshoot to identify root causes of business and systems issues
• Track and measure business goals and performance
• Implement, manage and report on new business and system projects​

The role of a Financial Analyst is primarily to track and improve business performance.

Typical day-to-day duties can include:

• Provide financial analysis to stakeholders to build a better understanding of performance
• Build financial models to identify strategies for improvement
• Prepare business cases for new initiatives, processes or investments
• Assist with financial forecasting and budgeting

Who makes a great Analyst?

People with two or more years’ experience as a Business Analyst, often in an Agile environment. Importantly, you will also need to be an enthusiastic professional who is an excellent communicator, has a keen eye for detail, and the ability to juggle workloads and deadlines without breaking a sweat.
